Motivational Speaking, Leadership Development, and Kindness

Program Description

Through a powerful and deeply personal presentation, Dr. Adler shares the journey from the day Reid first disclosed thoughts of suicide to the tragic events that unfolded just over a month later. Audience members learn about the devastating impact of cyberbullying, intimidation, and digital misconduct, while gaining practical insights into prevention, intervention, and support.

The presentation also highlights leadership as a daily choice rather than a title or position. Participants are encouraged to recognize their influence, lead by example, speak up when something is wrong, support those who may be struggling, and create environments where people feel seen, valued, and safe.

Participants are challenged to reflect on the importance of:

  • Trusting and communicating with caring adults

  • Standing up against bullying and mistreatment

  • Responsible use of technology and social media

  • Character, integrity, and leadership

  • Leading with empathy, courage, and accountability

  • Recognizing personal influence and using it positively

  • Forgiveness and healing

  • Mental health awareness and self-care

  • Grit, perseverance, and resilience

  • Building healthy relationships

  • Choosing hope during difficult times

Most importantly, Dr. Adler inspires audiences to embrace courage and leadership in spreading hope and kindness to everyone they encounter—values that Reid demonstrated every day of his life. Participants leave with a renewed understanding that leadership can begin with a simple decision to listen, include someone, speak up, or choose kindness.

Reid’s story is not simply a story of loss. It is a story of love, hope, reflection, leadership, and the power each person has to positively impact the lives of others.

REID ADLER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Reid Adler Memorial Kindness Scholarship has been established to honor the legacy of kindness Reid embodied through supporting recipients in their quest to further their education or training after high school. The scholarship awards $1,000 to at least one student and maybe more each year. One important and unique component to the scholarship is a “Pay It Forward” award in which the recipient of the scholarship is awarded $250.00 to be used to spread kindness through a donation, program, or activity that will help others along the way.
